These include an oversize bell for a broad yet centered and balanced tone, a new leadpipe design for improved intonation and tonal projection, and ideal wall thicknesses throughout the tuba for better response and playability. It also offers many other innovations such as valve pads of a new composite material for increased, trouble-free life, and new "soft-touch" valve springs for faster, more responsive action.
